The time when couples were dating many many times before they get to know each other is gone. Imagine what a waste of time that was! With the endless possibilities of internet it happenes that it takes just a few 'chats' to find out key points about your potential partners. You don't even have to date them in real. It's simpler than ever. Why is that? It seems like a logical explanation to me that dating just follows the tendency of the changing life itself. We want to and do things faster and easier as we don't have time to waste. We do our shopping on the internet, read newspapers on the internet, 'go out' with friends on the internet, so why not date our partners there as well? We can find out whether we match or not in no time, as 'face-not-to-face' communication is much easier. We can even maintain the relationship through the internet when we don't have time to meet them in real. Up-to-date dating I would say! Perfect! It's a thoroughly novel generation of dating practice whose advantages and disadvantages are to be revealed in the near future. What I can see as a drawback so far is the confusion and difficulty of people to get used to it. They often find themselves knowing too much things about their partners in a very short time and just find it difficult to deal with it. Anyway, to me it's a great opportunity to gather more quality experience and thus become clear as to what one's criteria are and what one expects from their partners. As to maintaining the relationship through internet, it might work wellfor a short period of time but shouldn't become a habit as we are human beings after all. I definetely don't want to find myself in the following situation: 'Honey, I'm on skype!' - 'Dinner is in your mailbox dear!' Huhu:))
